Here’s some sketches exploring one of my ideas for the creature from “The Terror” by Dan Simmons, and how I imagined it could work as a supernatural element while still able to be mistaken for a polar bear at a glance or in the distance~

Every time someone tries to sell some dystopian idea of the future as something good, I remember Julio Lancellotti's words:
"My perspective is failure, because if I don't fail in this system, it means I've adhered to it." He was talking about capitalism and indifference, so I think it fits.

“Some people seem to think of hope as ‘wishful thinking.’ For me, it’s not that at all. Rather, because I don’t know how things will turn out, I choose to take action in the direction that I want to influence.”

I posted a study showing that AI could help diagnose cancer and you responded with "fuck that, it hallucinates, we should get rid of it" directly in the face of that data.
That sounds a lot like you hating AI more than cancer if you're willing to dismiss those life saving results.

It’s wild how tech CEOs frame “AI” as having the potential to be sentient when it's doing masculine-coded shit like war & surveillance, like when Altman scaremongers to the Pentagon. But feminize it as a chatbot & suddenly it has no interiority at all, just a perfect object for your gratification.
