I’d love to read the article mate 👍

the stories and the music that we’ve shared over the years.
For nowI’m taking a short social media break.
Thanks once again to everyone who voted, commented, debated, shared recommendations and helped make the 5 Albums polls so successful.
It’s been an absolute blast 🎵
Final results chart follows..

Whilst I’ve now officially hung up my polling boots, I can confirm that I’ll be coming out of retirement one last time for #5albums26 at year end. More details on that later!
Beyond that, I’m giving serious thought to writing a book as my next project, it would be a nice way to document the journey…

I’d like to thank everyone who has sent kind messages over the past three weeks. I’ve been genuinely touched by the warmth, support and appreciation shown. The whole thing became a much bigger part of my life than I ever imagined, entirely down to the fantastic community that formed around it…

Afraid so, all good things come to an end 👍

Thank you 🙏

Thanks very much mate, comments really appreciated 👍

Thanks for the kind words Earl, much appreciated 👍

Thanks Dermot, that might well be my next project 👍

In the time honoured tradition the voting will close at midday on Sunday (UK time), I’ll give my spreadsheet one final outing and hopefully we’ll have a result later that day and we can crown the greatest debut album of all time. Please include the #5DebutAlbumsFinal hashtag with replies. The list..

1) Lloyd Cole And The Commotions - Rattlesnakes (5pts)
2) Sugar - Copper Blue
3) Pavement - Slanted And Enchanted
4) Sisters Of Mercy - First And Last And Always
5) Kate Bush - The Kick Inside
It’s an impossible task really, as so many of these polls have been, but great fun nonetheless…
