No, not irreversible.

But it will almost certainly take more than one Democratic term to fix.

Which is why I’ve been so insistent that folks stop the goddamn purity tests and vote responsibly in November.

We aren’t looking for perfect candidates. We’re looking for better than Republicans.

Everything's terrible, but it is moderately amusing that Trump is responsible for a level of destruction of demand for fossil fuels that anyone proposing a carbon tax would have been excoriated for.

Stop calling the $1.8 billion an “anti-weaponization fund.”

Call it what it is: A bribe to proven domestic terrorists to strike again if needed.
President Trump said on Saturday that he would revive a proposal for a $1.8 billion so-called anti-weaponization fund that would compensate his supporters if the Senate fails to confirm Todd Blanche as attorney general, reigniting a dispute over the settlement.
Trump Calls for $1.8 Billion Fund Over Blanche Attorney General Fight
The president vowed to push for the payout fund if Senate Republicans fail to confirm Todd Blanche as attorney general, reigniting a dispute over the settlement.

I think @govandybeshear.bsky.social should just appoint a Dem to fill McConnell’s seat. It would force proof of life, and the state law that stripped him of that power should be challenged in court. I’m sure Thune would refuse to seat the appointee, but I think it’s a fight worth having. BE BOLD!

“If Democrats win, Congress will do its job again” is a wild message from the current Speaker of the House
Johnson: If we lose the midterms, these Democrats will turn every committee of Congress into an investigative body, and they'll go after the president's family, the cabinet, his donors, friends, half of you in this room will be targeted. I run the protection program. We’ll take care of you.

Notice how Democrats always hold their own accountable and Republicans just yell fake news, no matter how vile the evidence is?

It’s very clear that there’s a culture in Washington of protecting serial abusers. You see it in these incidents with Swalwell and Gonzalez. You see it in the Epstein files. That has to stop, and it shouldn’t be a partisan issue.
