@akmulford.com’s AuDHD writing advice on their YouTube channel is the only thing that’s worked for me. I definitely recommend watching a few if you’re a neurodivergent writer. I’ve spent YEARS beating myself up about my writing style and I’m finally getting out of that now.

I’m currently reading “House of the Beast” by @lokhelle.bsky.social. I’m not finished with it, but it gets a 5/5 already for making Lovecraftian Elder Gods fresh. I loved the world building. The author is also an artist, so I’m going to try to find a physical copy of this lovely book too.

Wuthering Heights is one of my favorite gothic novels and I made the mistake of watching #WutheringHeights2026. I just got to the scene where Joseph of all people is having a BDSM scene and what in the fanfiction?! Throw the whole movie in the trash.
So because writing a novel when you have ADHD (probably AuDHD) takes forever, I’m going to do my part to add more #queer stuff to the world by publishing my first drafts to Patreon. It’s a #cozyfantasy about a gay necromancer opening a sex shop with his trans best friend and a sassy dragon.

Two days ago I read @stgibson.bsky.social’s “A Dowry of Blood” in just one sitting. Like I was stuck all day in bed because I couldn’t put it down. 5/5. It was also a masterclass of how to write an epistolary novel, so it’s joining my reference shelf. Bonus points for making “Dracula” fresh again.

Just finished @tkingfisher.com’s “Daggerbound”! 5/5. It was slow at the beginning, but then improved. My favorite character was Large Francis of Building. I originally bought the audiobook, but the narrator’s voices for the characters were a definite CHOICE so I got the ebook instead.

Just finished @tkingfisher.com’s “Daggerbound”! 5/5. It was slow at the beginning, but then improved. My favorite character was Large Francis of Building. I originally bought the audiobook, but the narrator’s voices for the characters were a definite CHOICE so I got the ebook instead.
Sooo in 2024 I spoke at two panels for StokerCon. I had to let my membership lapse this year for financial reasons, but after finding out that a Shitler appointed, Islamophobic failed judge who praised the KKK has been running the grievances committee for ages, I won’t be renewing it again.
The HWA grievance committee is run by the failed Trump judicial Nominee who praised the Klan? Seems not ideal!

Shaping up to be a great day: I woke up with sleep paralysis AGAIN, which usually makes me a zombie for the next day, and then I spontaneously wrote a fan letter to another indie horror author (The Bayou by Arden Powell is AMAZING)—autocorrect then puts my personal email instead of my author email.

Tested the Godot engine, my player character sprite, and some tile sets for my upcoming gothic horror game today! The tiles are a mess and my sprite breathes like a hyperventilating rabbit, but now I know how to fix things for test 2 and I can start work on the mansion layout! #ADreadfulInheritance
