Riikee is a place to write every day. A blank page when you need space, help when you get stuck, and a record of the writing life you're building.
Spend an hour cutting repetition from a chapter and the word count goes backward. The piece still got better.

Our take: time goals when starting or revising is the hard part, word goals when a draft needs to grow.

Which do you use?

A lot of us wait to feel like "a real writer" before writing regularly.

I suspect it runs the other way. You write one honest paragraph, come back tomorrow, and the identity turns up later, almost by accident.

Was it like that for you?

Sometimes one paragraph is the whole point of the session.
Save it. Make a share card if you want. Check the public link before it goes out.
Keep the draft private until you’re ready.

Most writing apps show you today.
The useful question is quieter: what keeps returning in your pages across months?
Themes. Dead ends you outgrew. The sentence that finally landed.
That’s the journey — not a streak counter.

You don’t lose the thread because you missed Tuesday.
You lose it when coming back feels like failure.
Miss a day. Open the page again. That counts.

A Writing Session counts meaningful revision — not only net word-count growth. Progress can look like rewriting, not just adding.

Fifteen minutes will not finish every piece. It can be enough to produce one useful unit of work and make tomorrow's session easier to begin. riikee.com/blog/15-minu...

I've been building Riikee, a writing app for people who want to write regularly without turning everything into something to publish.

You can try the editor without creating an account:

The product site is here:

I'd especially like feedback on the first few minutes.
