The political and cultural response to 9/11 was to briefly mouth some "Islam is not to blame" platitudes and then declare total war on Muslim people and the Muslim world and we're entering the 25th year of it with no end in sight.
If nothing else, this book deserves your attention because it refutes what is becoming an alarming consensus talking point in the center that 9/11 brought out the better angels of our nature - a delusional distortion of reality that is true only for one value of "our."

It’s been offered to me.

People have had their lives ended when all they needed was palliative care.
A quadriplegic needed a special mattress in the ER. He was neglected, got terrible bedsores & did assisted dying.
A veteran trying to get a wheelchair ramp was offered death.
