Oh no is this why he’s always using that one takedown to dangle the henchmen upside down from gargoyles and stuff? Is he Hannibal?

I like how every single prisoner in those games is just unbelievably beefy. Like the cost at the butcher for each of them is gonna be astronomical

Was this an experimental weapon against the very concept of save scumming?

Wow that’s wild
September 11, 2026 at 8:58 PM
Good luck! I hope you’re able to get over your concern

I did articulate specific reasons and you didn’t respond to them. That’s on you, not me. I’m not going to spend more time on this, but if you truly want to learn more a good starting point would be to look up which factors affect reading speed and shape recognition

I’ve been a UI developer for nearing 15 years now. I have to know a good bit about things which make visual tasks difficult versus easy. I wouldn’t call myself an expert, but I’m definitely informed on the subject

It can suggest routes based on my calendar. It can navigate to my friend’s home address or current location. I can also use CarPlay to do a lot more than just navigate, like listen to my audiobooks or podcasts.

It puts me at the whim of the car manufacturer. Car manufacturers are worse at software than phone manufacturers. Phones get updates more reliably than cars do. I don’t have to pay an extra fee to use my phone and get updates to its maps. The UI in my phone’s nav system is better. It knows my routes

b) for the answer to this please see the entirety of the thread preceding this tangent

a) I'm saying that if you learned more about how humans read things visually you may realize that not being able to read a phone as easily as a large screen isn't worrying when it comes to driving ability (and is in fact perfectly normal)

On my bike I actually navigate mostly based on my bike computer beeping at me or my watch vibrating slowly when I need to make a left or rapidly when I need to make a right
September 10, 2026 at 10:01 PM
Yes, plenty of times I navigate purely based on the map and don’t reference street signs at all
September 10, 2026 at 9:59 PM
I suggest you start reading about interface design in vehicles and human vision then 🙂
September 10, 2026 at 9:58 PM
Visual acuity is really complicated and you shouldn’t make assumptions that difficulty to read a phone screen at a glance means someone might have trouble seeing other things one needs to while driving
September 10, 2026 at 8:29 PM
It seems like you believe people are currently only allowed to drive with perfect vision. I’m so sorry to tell you that’s very, very wrong. However, it turns out this is fine in most cases
September 10, 2026 at 8:29 PM
As for street signs and navigation: wildly, it turns out most people have an easier time orienting themselves with a device than through street signs and memorized street names and maps
September 10, 2026 at 8:29 PM
Yes, because things on the dash are generally pretty large as they’re designed with this use case in mind. Also, they’re usually in the center, which makes them closer than something mounted to the side
September 10, 2026 at 8:29 PM
There's a huge difference between being able to see and read something and being able to see and read something at a glance. Smaller things can take longer/require more effort for your eyes to make sense of. This is why people don't read books printed at the smallest size they can make out

Wait Android Auto and Android Automotive are different things?!
September 10, 2026 at 6:39 PM
Does Android Auto just not allow third party software period?
September 10, 2026 at 6:33 PM
Is that not basically what they do currently by only allowing certain apps?
September 10, 2026 at 6:28 PM
Pardon my ignorance of AA, but how would they prevent certain apps from working while driving which isn’t effectively the status quo?
