Volodos is stunning. I play some of his arrangements of Rachmaninov songs. I found something I have on CD. Part of Samuil Feinberg's arrangement of Tchaikovsky's 6th Symphony. I have the score but never worked up the courage to work on it, probably too late now. www.youtube.com/watch?v=4fg5...

Nuts are seeds. The problem with eating a lot of nuts is the high omega-6 vs omega-3. Flax seeds are different, they are rare in having high omega-3 vs omega-6 which is beneficial. It is 18 carbon but our own biochem can convert to the 20 & 22 carbon omega-3 though with low yield.

Israel has never ceased its fire since 1948. My only hope is that the USA is not the power that it was and that Trump may still think it is. A majority of the world are now aligned against it. The US & NATO have been defeated in Ukraine, though only Ukrainians (and some Russians) have died so far.

It seems most of the US live in a bubble of false history. I had hope that Trump might be at least pragmatic, especially on Russia and Iran, but he speaks from the same bubble (though I still await actions). They are in for a big shock. And, the UK tags on.

How I agree. Just wait till AI starts getting things wrong. There is a deep misunderstanding of what it means to be healthy, and AI will probably be avoiding that to feed vested interests.

It seems to be built in to the US political system. A country with near 800 military bases around the world has self-image problems. The British Empire never came to an end, it just changed CEO.

US always uses Fahrenheit. A Mars lander crashed because of a mixup over metric and imperial units. Appropriate that the USA uses Imperial units.

Trump does not like being with losers, he wants to win. He knows Netanyahu is not his friend. I am hoping that Putin, while crushing the US/NATO attempt to desbilize via Ukraine, will arrange for Trump to get some win. That could come in an agreement with Iran about nuclear weapons and security.
