It's fun to have a successful parkrun event! It's not fun to have to work out the parking though. Here's a link to a post that describes the various parking options (spoiler alert - arrive by 7:30 for the closer options and allow 10-20 minutes to walk to the start). www.parkrun.us/sunnyvalebay...

Our 25th event fell on our countries 250th birthday? Let's call it event 25.0! The marine layer kept the sun under control and helped make this a festive event!

Officially, Saturday is our 25th event, but in honor of it being July 4th and the 250th birthday of the US, we are unofficially calling it event 25.0 and holding a post-finish picnic! Please feel free to bring a favorite treat to share.

What a weekend! We celebrated Pride Month, and since it was event 22, it was a Tutu Day as well! Also this was the weekend parkrun held its one millionth event and parkrun US had its one millionth finisher! Many milestones and perfect weather all added up to an epic morning.

We celebrated Pride at Sunnyvale Bay Trail parkrun this weekend, and as it was out 22nd event we mixed in some TuTu's for good effect - excellent morning and congrats to Hannah for her 50th milestone.

STAY HYDRATED! With high temps forecast for this weekend, please remember to bring a water bottle with you. Staying hydrated before, during and after your run, walk, or volunteer stint is especially important in hotter conditions.

We're number two! We're number two! A bit ago we touted how close our course was to where the Super Bowl was played. Now, the World Cup is coming to town, and it turns out we are the second closest parkrun to a stadium where a World Cup match is being played! blog.parkrun.com/us/2026/06/0...

Happy 14th anniversary to parkrun USA! What a journey! It all started with just one event at Livonia parkrun in 2012, with 28 finishers and 7 volunteers. Fast forward to today, and that single spark has grown into an incredible nationwide community of 99 events and thousands of participants!

A rare chance to run today at Sunnyvale Bay Trail parkrun, but I still like to volunteer (I'm chasing that 250 milestone), so I donned the hi-viz vest and did the First Timers Brief - I love this role as its often the first contact people have with a parkrun event.
