A couple of years ago, my husband built wall to wall book shelves for me in our front room. While shelving my books from around the house in stacks and boxes, I, too, found more than one copy of several books:) Your library is so lovely. Thank goodness for book accommodating husbands!

I took an entire class on Gershwin with a professor who was literally obsessed with him. Almost 30+ years later, the friend I took it with and I still quote that professor and laugh. I am a walking library of random Gershwin trivia, and you'd be surprised at how often that comes in handy!

Lots of interesting and unexpected plot twists that eventually tie together in the end. Definitely a well crafted novel.

So much disappointment these past few years both from people we know in person and those we "thought" we knew online. I hate how guarded it has made me. So sorry you are experiencing this too.
