It was a brilliant day to learn about different areas of research and talk about my own. I came away feeling inspired ✨
2 years of #CASSPPR and counting! Yesterday we came together for a celebration of the amazingly diverse, impactful and groundbreaking research undertaken by our team - including academic staff and PhD students.

Today hope is back on the agenda! Phenomenal to have another Green Party MP and in seat they said was unwinnable, Mayor Mamdani creating jobs for local people and whispers of changes to student loans! As someone with over £100k debt that’s increasing rapidly despite paying chunks each month #Hope

Almost every senior manager in UK universities seems to be making the same bet, under the misapprehension that the university is the buildings rather than the people.
Just straight up ‘we are willing to wager that new buildings are more important to the operation and reputation of the University than having enough staff to actually teach the students they’re supposed to help recruit’

Grateful to have spent 3 days on the Strictly Come Writing retreat at Gladstone’s Library, organised by @socrevdev.bsky.social .The structured time & inspiring setting helped me finish almost a full draft! Fantastic to work alongside brilliant researchers from across the UK.
