To expand on what I said above: spending government funds on something like public broadcasting, which benefits nearly every American in some way, is obviously detrimental when those funds could be used to extend the 2017 tax cuts for the top 1%. That said, PBS is merely a drop in the bucket.

And let's not forget what Jesus said about the rich to the poor: "Sell everything you have and give it to the rich."

And speaking for myself and every one of my Republican colleagues in the Senate, we're all glad to finally be able to agree with Senator Van Hollen on something.

To be fair, Mr. Kinzinger, President Trump has been fully focused on pushing his Big Beautiful Bill across the finish line before his self-imposed deadline of July 4th.

So, Russian sanctions can wait: he, I, and other rich Republicans need our damn tax cut ASAP!
