I thought it'd be cool to make it out to one of the big famous cons (most of which are in the USA), but I'll avoid that for the forseeable future. Unfortunate that ttrpg-dom is still so USA-centered.

Discovering Brindlewood Bay's item rules the first time I played it. Based on how you introduce your player character, each other person at the table invents one of your inventory items. A super simple rule that promotes active listening and feels nice.

For a while, Harry Potter was most of my childhood. Showing up to the bookstore on release day in a wizard cape my mom made for me type. But I grew up and HP became a fond memory. Then when JKR went mask-off it became a sour memory and I left it, easy. Respect identities, disrepect hate, simple as.
