Today is Joe Kubert's birthday. I did a stack of short backups in the war books Joe edited back at the beginning of my career and each job was an education. Joe would correct my storytelling, pencils, inks as I turned the work in. This page, he pretty much just totally re-inked :)

Working in the local library. As always happens when I'm all alone in the Quiet Study Room, I'm noting the irony that I've turned it into the loudest room in the whole joint. Until somebody enters, I'm listening to music through my MacBook speakers and sometimes singing along.

My father gave me a refurbished Kindle loaded with books before he died. It was his last gift to me. It was in very bad shape, practically unusable for many years. A cleaned it and updated it for me and now I get to read the library my dad curated for me from the ICU as he lay dying. 🥹
