It's telling that men would rather try to invent tech to replace humans' role in caregiving than step up as equal partners in parenting.

Telling, that is, in that it shows how financial capitalism and patriarchy work together to dissuade men from doing "unprofitable" labor, like the work of care.

New just now in The Atlantic:

David Robinson resigned this week. He was among the longest-tenured employees at OpenAI—and oversaw safety reports on 12 frontier launches.

He is very worried: “The time for trial and error is over.”

How do you teach the immune system to recognize a cancer cell? Researchers are taking clues from the tumor itself, selecting unusual protein fragments and putting them into a vaccine.

This is an entirely new phenomenon because before the vaccine, most women who survived measles were immune because they had it when they were young. But now, idiots who refuse to get vaccinated are giving birth to babies with measles. Two babies have died. www.nbcnews.com/health/healt...
America had wiped out measles. Now babies are infected at birth.
Congenital measles has rarely been seen in the U.S. That’s changing as vaccination declines and more pregnant women become infected.

Right, okay everybody, I’ve had a lot of meetings and talks this week and I have to share some top line thoughts.

Things are quite a bit worse than i am usually willing to share with people because panic does no good. It’s kinda bad.

The baddies have the wind at their back. No denying that.
