One in seven UK adults have used an AI chatbot for health advice instead of contacting a GP.

Perhaps because it’s there instantly, it doesn’t put you on hold, and it doesn’t assume you know how the system works.

Is AI the NHS’s “desire path”?

I wrote about something I noticed on the NHS’s birthday - people all over the world, in New Zealand, Ireland, everywhere, posting that they love it.

The NHS isn’t just a health service. It’s one of the most admired things Britain has ever built.

Here’s why that matters 👇

BUT admiration isn’t enough. Warm words on the NHS’s birthday don’t reduce waiting lists, fill vacancies, or fix the pathways that leave people lost in a system they don’t understand.

We are all patients.”
