Gotta love ITKs & aggregators. I've seen some say Iraola wants 8 gone & I've seen others saying he's been told by FSG to identify 3 at most to bring in. If this is what all summer will be like I might be tempted to watch every second of a World Cup in a nation as morally bankrupt as the last hosts.

The man says goodbye in the most gracious & dignified way possible considering he's been stalked, harassed & abused at every turn this season & he's still getting abuse. I don't think I've ever felt as disconnected from such a quantity of our fan base as I have this season. It's been grim.

Happy retirement to my favourite player of the best era of the club in my lifetime. The greatest free transfer of all time. The game will likely never see anyone with his longevity & professionalism ever again.

I know I'm one of the minority that's going to really feel for Slot. He's not going to get anywhere near the respect he's owed not just got number 20 but also how he dealt with & navigated the passing of Diogo Jota last summer.
He's the easiest scapegoat in a structure that seems very out of sync.

I actually don't have a problem with Palace being in it per se (albeit against their preference), I think using it like the Cup Winners Cup could be a good way to get a random top 5 league team or two in it every few years but as it is the competition is fundamentally broken. 4 in 5.
The fact that 3 of the 4 winners so far have been English or Italian says something's not right with the amount of teams certain leagues are getting in the European competitions. 8th in the PL shouldn't be playing European football over league champions in a smaller nation.

Honestly if Arne Slot was to leave of his own volition I couldn't blame him. The fucking shit I'm seeing said about him this evening is ridiculous. If he did literally any of the things these weirdos have been demanding he'd have been wrong for doing that as well.

I'm just glad this seasons over. I'm not particularly looking forward to this summer, it'll only get more toxic, just hope next time we see Liverpool kicking a ball in anger it's a lot better whoevers in charge & on the pitch.

It's a bit weird that if you're even a little bit annoyed by the fact we need to get at least a point at the weekend and instead of talking about the game ahead the manager is answering questions about what liking something on Instagram means, you're seen as the bad guy by the masses.
