If I take anything from this game?

Boks lack creativity beyond 10 and SFM had a poor game.

Scotland have players like Hutch, Sione & ofc Finn.

ABs, Love, Barrett & Roigard.

Yes, however, at times Boks stopped themselves.

Least 2 times Boks got impatient w/ball meter from line.

Also, Scotland does not have a defensive guru like Jordie Barrett. He saved ABs on countless occasions.

Toss is a gift try from a terrible box kick & yes ABs were better but also luckier.

Boks dominated physically for most of the game but failed to execute in 22 to an alarming degree.

Almost Scotland esque in lack of composure and patience.

Also, worst game I've seen from Peter SDT in a long while.

MFW had moments v the Pumas but even in that game his flaws showed up.

Very loose w/ball in hand, knocked on x 3. Struggled under the high ball & yet to see him make a decent pass.

Rowe had an even better game v Pumas. Yet for some reason isn't getting a parade on the BBC.

He isn't though. MFW is extremely linear. Strong, fast and explosive yes but I have yet to see him corner a FB or a Winger out wide.

Instead, he runs through contact. Against better teams like Boks that won't work well.

Even Duhan isn't that straight line.

His dumb clean out that TMO went back almost 30+ phases to review changed the game.

France looks like they're already on vacation.
July 18, 2026 at 9:36 PM
Yep, I don't think he has the ability to run to the outside of a wide defender.

He is very linear.
July 18, 2026 at 9:36 PM
Yep, Scotland beat Pumas with ease. England made a dog's dinner of a game Argentina was trying to hand to them.

Also, why the fuck did the Pumas go for a conventional exit from 22 after pegging it back to 19-17 & w/2 man ad.

Did exact opposite v Scotland in November.

Cost them dearly.

He can break tackles alright but he is terrible in the air, knocks it on a ton and is just ok in defense.

The Boks' young 10; Ahmed looks a special talent, one to keep an eye on.

Nah, I mean he didn't have a great game, but you can see the athleticism.

No one in that initial 15 played well. It would be easy to call any of them "bang average" on that evidence.
July 18, 2026 at 4:34 PM
Yep.

Also for whatever reason that really good U20s team they had a few years back no one has broken through.

Was a point that U20s team was beating England, Ireland and giving France fits.

Thought at least 2-3 of those lads would show up by now.

True, however, the DJ is making up for it. Been absolutely wild.
July 18, 2026 at 4:26 PM
Thing is Berry was bad to both teams.

I lost count how many times Irish players while lying all over the ball on the wrong side. Berry did not award one penalty for that.

Irish fans ofc see only one way.

POTM the vibes.

Italy is hurtling backwards. All the progress they've made last few years seems like it has been stolen by some lads in Minis driving like mad in some Rome tunnels.
