The Book Eaters is part thriller, part body/social horror, part a deep dive into motherhood, and what it means to love a child who may be monster. I have loved this one for years now

There's simply no one quite like Mieko Kawakami who can trap the loneliness bird within pages, and make you hear every desperate beat of its wings. All The Lovers In The Night is what feels like to cry to yourself alone inside a cafe.

Impressively original and impossibly haunting, Saint Death's Daughter follows a Miscellaneous "Lanie" Stones, a necromancer allergic to violence--the problem is, she's born into a family of royal assassins. It is tender, beautiful and horrifying in equal measure.

Hello friends, I've been hit with an emergency bill, so I'm opening up a few slots for editorial services. I'll cover the details in thread but would appreciate any shares. I'm a Tessera Editorial alum, have several short fiction credits, and have helped several writers with their query materials.

But I guess the choice let them bring in Kerene Nagashi very briefly, aes sedai of the Green Ajah, one of the strongest channelers to enter the tower, second only to Cadsuane Melaidhrin

for myself lol. I think of this Ocean Vuong interview often because I write entirely to please myself. I don't know if my work is going to be enough for others but it is (and should be) enough for me.

"Planting Trees As Graves", a weird horror story on grief, trees and gardens is out at @innerworlds.bsky.social today. I'm incredibly proud of it and I would be honoured if you gave it a read

If you asked me what was formative media, i would point to An Ember In The Ashes. So much of what I write is because I read and deeply connected to this series as a brown teenager who desperately needed to see books featuring and by us are possible, they can be complex and ambitious.

Naomi Novik's work means so much to me. She takes the most simple fairytales and builds upon them to an astounding degree. I've been so consistently impressed with everything she writes but Temeraire and Uprooted take up most of the real estate inside my head
