Good article. But this was not CUSMA, it was strictly about the tariffs. I see no reason for the desperate attempts to gain a deal. We must take the lesson and move on. NAFTA all but destroyed us earlier, it's time to move on. Industry must adapt, as must people

He and Scheinbaum were asked to co-host. Protocol says he had to attend, and he did hand out the Golden Glove to the best goalkeeper. He doesn't look too happy to be sharing air with the hypocrite next to him or with his airhead trophy wife ( compare to the brainy Mrs. Carney).

I (Canadian) have had Americans tell me I'm insensitive because I don't acknowledge how hard they have it. Yet they don't want to hear or understand what has happened to others, to us, because of Trump. Self-centred and entitled. In general, poorly educated also. I think the world is sick of that.

The US will regret this one day. It has always ignored us yet profited off us, our ideas, our talent pool. Greedy people will still do business with you, but Canadians have long memories. That's why you often find us passive aggressive. We've had to put up and shut up, but we haven't forgotten.

How many 2nd chances do you give an aggressive fickle friend? The US has tried to invade us 3 times in our history, has always been a bully, coercing concessions, and is now threatening invasion or destruction again. We're done with the US even while we recognise you're not all the same, tough luck

I'm not even prepared yet to concede that he lied, but if he did, this country will be irreparably positioned within the US. In other words, a vassal. It would never recover.

I've written twice to my MP. I'm going to write again. And then there's that voting thingie. Now that Avi Lewis is leading the NDP, many of us will back him and the Libs will fail again. Not sure how he would be re the US, but if Carney betrays us, we may find out.
