Today I found out children aren't taught the details of "Welcome to country" at school.
One of mine asked me why Ernie Dingo was welcomed to country when he visited Yuggera. Confused:" Isn't he Australian? Why does he need welcome?"
I showed them the actual country map & explained as best as I could

Here is one protecting three stripeys (not necessarily his babies, it must be noted). That's what baby emus are lovingly called, for obvious reasons.
