The NYPD just released surveillance video of the ICE shooting (which occurred off camera).

Two men in civilian clothes run up to a car with guns drawn. One second later, one man begins smashing the butt of his gun into the driver’s side window. The driver appears to panic and hit the gas.

An Ithaca police story.

Many years ago, pre cell phones, a young woman riding a bike on a narrow, steep, windy street near my house was clipped by an impatient driver going same direction. (Riding on sidewalks is illegal here.)

I heard the accident and went to check if everyone was OK.

As Yom Kippur came to a close this evening, I was privileged to join my friend, Ruth Messinger, at a break fast in her home.

It was an honor to celebrate this moment of renewal with many of our Jewish neighbors. May it be a year of justice, joy and peace.

Here is the full suspension letter from UGent that was sent to Nathan Cofnas, it shows ample reason for his suspension and potential termination. Including breach of contract, using the University of Ghent’s name and legitimacy to promote his racial supremacist views and causing reputational damage.

The only problem with this statement is that we've been here the entire time. We saw what happened and how with our own eyes.
The reactionaries' caricature of non-existent left-wing bogeymen is treated as real.

So it should come as no surprise to anyone that Brooks' prescription for this problem includes all sorts of things that boil down to "put real Conservatives in charge for a couple generations" and does not include anything that looks or sounds like self-reflection or acknowledging responsibility.
