Not part of the solution.
As an instructor, I feel this. My program refuses to teach core classes in short sessions. I taught 2 semesters of nursing lab in 8 weeks to catch up from COVID and that SUCKED.

I will die on that hill.

Also, it made me question whether all the Baylisascaris in her brain was why she still did raccoon rehab out of her house.

A former coworker did raccoon rehab, so she had a few enclosures in her back yard where the not-acclimated-to-people babies lived.

She once showed me a picture of the yard after deworming day.

Friends, it looked like someone spilled the entire church spaghetti dinner all over the yard. Ew.

The patient had had a previous surgery from an encounter with a carrot. I mean, this one didn't lie about it?

(I cleared their 2-year backlog by the end of my first week. Most of it was typos, but one celeb.)

It was an operative report of surgical repair of a 6 cm rectal tear from "fisting" (quotes included).

I learned what fisting was when I dropped out of college and was put in charge of filing un-file-able reports in the medical records department of a local hospital (small-ish, but did a lot of celebrity confidential stuff with aliases, so records were sometimes confusing).

I ended up citing the instructional assistant's job description and matching all the commenter's criticisms to specific job responsibilities. The committee did not comment further.

Same commenter called me out on my "lax" grading and attendance policies and I very politely tore them apart.

#1 is still, "... with the nonjecting hand, make a skin tent" because it's a completely unintentional but perfect neologism for how to perform a subcutaneous injection.

It seems like saving pictures of ankle-deep sewage and health department reports might offset a poor recommendation. Or maybe I'm an optimist.

The instructional assistant is to support student learning, not to teach.

I SO want to reply, "OK," and leave it at that.
Kind of like I want to reply to the suggestion that I put MORE words into my slide deck with, "No."

I mean, they want a paragraph. "I teach the lab classes" is what I got.
