One of the main reasons I wanted to go to Glastonbury next year is it will be 30 years since my first. Guess I’ll be watching on TV #glastonbury

Remember waking up in my tent at Glastonbury 10 years ago and finding that the leave vote had won. Felt utterly defeated and like I just wanted to stay at Worthy Farm forever to avoid the shitstorm on the horizon. Glad that I was in the most uplifting place in the world that day.

This shift to treat PMs the way football clubs/fans treat managers is really rubbish.

Saw @marghjenkin.bsky.social new flick Rose Of Nevada tonight - great film, with great performances and fantastic sound design. Entertaining Q&A after as well. It’s out next week, go and catch it on the big screen.

Read the excellent piece on GB News in The New World this morning. Should be required reading for all and there needs to be a serious discussion about whether Ofcom is fit for purpose.

They’ve got to make a true-crime style film about the Salt Path scam, but also starring Gillian Anderson and Jason Isaacs.

Flags should be banned from the crowd at Glastonbury. Nobody cares about your Oldham Athletic flag or flag advertising some random gym. Go away.

Only recently caught up with the second season of Alma’s Not Normal - it’s such a brilliant series, fantastic writing and superb performances. It also has that rare ability to have you crying with laughter one minute and crying with sadness and anger the next. Just brilliant.

Tarkowski should have been sent off there - that was dangerous.

This chap from Water UK talking on BBC Breakfast about the rise in water bills is the least convincing person I have seen for a while as he claims every single penny of the increase will go to preventing sewage entering waterways. All the while shareholders will expect more cash.

Just finished The Heart’s Invisible Furies by John Boyne. It’s no exaggeration to say it’s one of the best things I’ve ever read. Loved it, it made me laugh, it made me cry and was just a joy to read.

Really hope that the Government’s plans to restrict vulnerable and at risk children from being removed from school are implemented. As a parent who was unable to prevent my child from being taken out of school, despite social services involvement, this is very welcome.
