I liked the approach you took.
I tried my own version, on the Kwejian Frigate.
I found it fits the Aetherian vibe quite nicely, with their size-shifting wiggly bits.
For main dmg consoles, I got 4 of the Dyson Rep consoles, and 4 Isomags, all with the [Beam] mod, and went with 5 DBBs in the fore.
