Blue seems to be the colour to signal "modern" tech, that's why appliances always have blue LEDs on them. I blame Big Blue for making Deep Blue. Or Tron. It's probably Tron's fault.

Now we're on Bluesky after Twitter's bluebird got fired. A Facebook blue F to pay respects.

One of my earliest gaming memories was of the kitchen in Nitemare 3D, the shooter follow-up to HHH where Hugo turns scientists into flowerpots.

It's also the game where I first saw a dumbwaiter.

At some point you should look up the old internet forums around the time of Wind Waker. It's fascinating how much vitriol was levelled at that game because of its art style.

There's always been a subset of people online making hyperbolic complaints, but the internet is more consolidated now.

I think Steam only displays in full days, starting at 1pm EST, no matter what time the devs set for it.

My first thought when I saw Maze years ago was that he was based on Richard Cobbett of Saturday Crapshoot fame. (Based on the memory of the small headshot that used to be on PC Gamer.)

Luckily the US has no credit limit, right?

Hey I recognise István's background from the image posted with Morgan the PowerPoint Pro. Is István holding a social event to scam vampire wannabes?

Vampire matchmaking scams sound like a wonderful avenue to explore with spam e-mails:

Do you want to live forever? Doctors hate this one weird trick!

Speculative investments into AI companies are the only reason the US stock market looks alright. The moment they crash the US is going to be hit by a recession or depression.

Republicans seem to want that to happen after the next election so they can pass off blame, no matter the societal cost.

No pre-trained model can be a long-term threat in the same way that stuxnet isn't a threat anymore. The exploits it trained on will cease to exist as software patches fix them.
September 17, 2026 at 7:17 PM
But training is the only way LLMs can effectively take in new information. Everything else is just putting new stuff into the script it feeds into itself until it either runs out of memory or gets summarised until the important instructions are lost.

I feel sorry for those expecting pornography, they won't find much to sink their teeth into here. I wonder how many will bite anyway.

I think GOG with 95 games per wishlist notification that users have to click a small link to view all is worse for conversion. Even if users are sent every single sale title.
September 16, 2026 at 7:42 PM
There was a change in Gmail a while back where they cut off long e-mails and you have to click a button to see the rest of the message. Steam and GOG wishlist messages were hit by that, Steam adjusted so it'll always fit under the limit. This appears to be a fix for the reporting of that change.

It reminds me of that Wii U Zelda demo and the way it felt excited to show off reflections and lighting like they hadn't already been done to death by the 360/PS3.

Maybe their goal was always to make The Sims For Boys.

I think I'm glad to be out of the mainstream loop, your account is my only source of GTA news.

That has mostly only affected me with Firaxis and Private Division though. Rockstar's storytelling and themes were unappealing to me even before that.

I'm still avoiding all 2K games since they pushed an advertising launcher into BioShock Infinite labelled as a "quality of life" patch. I think it's since been removed, but you don't lie on changelogs or "update" old singleplayer games to make them worse.

There's still (officially) Vietnam, Cuba, Laos, North Korea, and China. Most of the old communist attempts were replaced by or became capitalist dictatorships.

Because the number system that humans created does not have an inherent limit to how high it can count. You can always add another column and keep going.

There's no way to know if infinites exist beyond being a concept in the human brain, the universe appears to be discrete but impossibly massive.

EA Sports ties in nicely with their multiple FIFA team purchases and FIFA cup support. Football is looking like a major focus of the PIF's investments.
