Hi wow I forgot about this app for a minute 🫣😅
It was John Waters 80th birthday this week so I painted him because I love him so much! Added some collaged text of one of my favourite quotes of his.

Best thing about this election night is seeing all the far right ghouls crashing out. Cry harder!

And I don't ever want to see his face again!
I've had maaaad anxiety in the lead up to this election, and I feel like I can sleep tonight knowing the LNP dogs won't be in charge.
Even sweeter that Dutton lost his seat. To a woman 🤌🏻💃🏻

New episode of I Hope You Suffer is out! Continuing my journey through Rob Zomboe's filmography, my friend Chris Matthews joins me for Zombie's most divisive movie, The Lords Of Salem. I've settled the debate: it's good.

The April issue of my zine Stung is artwork & a rundown of every movie David made.
It's been wonderful to work on 🥹
My Ko-fi members get it as soon as it's published, with a bonus mini zine. I also have a tier with the 2 zines and an art print 💙

I finally put my teacup art onto my shop as individual greeting cards!
These were done in Procreate, with most from my Grandmother-in-Law's personal collection gathered over decades.
They also come in variety packs of six!

This month's issue of my zine Stung is about all of David Lynch's feature films. I'm making art of a character for each film and writing a bunch of my thoughts on every movie.

I drew Francesca Albanese with the art supplies in the March ScrawlrBox. The prompt was Living Legend and she absolutely fits that description for me.
Watch me make it and hear me tell you how awesome she is here 👇🏻

I don't often get much feedback on the zines I make. I put a lot into them, they go out into the world and I just hope that folks like what they read.
Last month's issue, I put my personal experience as a disabled artist into and it was difficult to be so vulnerable but incredibly cathartic.

4 pieces done for the April issue of my zine Stung.
I'm working on character studies from all of David Lynch's movies (I'm leaving Twin Peaks out because while absolutely essential to his body of work, I feel it's too expansive & needs its own zine)
I'm working on The Straight Story now 🥹

Working on the April issue of my zine Stung.
My idea was to make portraits of Lynch characters, but in a way that matched how his films are disjointed and what's happening when you look closer is not what you see at first glance.
Very very excited about this issue 🖤

Update: the Pansy on the right is deceased (rip) the one on the left is *ok* but the Nasturtium is going off!!!
I did plant more Pansies in the backyard and they're ok though & I'm just very anxious about keeping them all alive lol 🙃🌸🏵️
It's nice to go outside and check on & talk to them all!

Life's been very *overwhelming* and my body hates me, but one of my neighbours helped clean up my front garden and I've been able to pop some seedlings in today. They're right out front of my studio window 🥰
Next weekend I'm going to plant a whole bunch of native Australian wildflower seeds 🫶🏻

I saw Cain Culto scrolling Tiktok one day & was immediately hooked on his music, his aesthetic, his whole entire vibe so I made a sketchbook page about it
I don't remember the last time something grabbed me so instantly? Latin, witchy, southern, hip hop? Idk but it's hitting the spot!
