It was great to see exposure modelling take centre stage. Our two sessions on Advances in Exposure Modelling justified their place in the auditorium and drew in ~100s of attendees. Our Exposure Modelling Interest Group workshop filled the 30-person room with rich discussions about future modelling.

📈 During that session, I will be presenting on behalf of Cansu Uluseker to show our recent work into assessing the effectiveness of risk mitigation options against intentionally added #microplastics in the UK.

🧑‍🏫 On Wednesday, 1135-1255 and 1425-1545 in Auditorium 02, we are hosting the 5th consecutive iteration of the Advances in Exposure Modelling session. We've got lots of exciting presentations and posters lined up! Co-chairs: Juliet Hodges (Unilever), Oliver Warwick (Vitis) and Joris Quik (RIVM)

👥 On Tuesday, 4-5pm CEST in Room 0.2, we are holding a special session of the Exposure Modelling Interest Group, focusing on a vision to create an open-source catalogue of environmental processes, to boost reusable and FAIR exposure modelling. Co-chairs: @praetorius-a.bsky.social and Joris Quik.

🧑‍🏫 On Sunday, I'm helping run a training course on the microplastic fate model UTOPIA, alongside @mattmacleod.bsky.social, Xiaoyu Zhang (Stockholm Uni) and Katherine Santizo (Cefic-LRI)

And of course, I'm going by train! 0741 departure from London, with comfortable 2 hour changes in London and Paris, and I'll be there by 1900. Easier, greener and about the same price as flying 🚄

It did depart eventually, which is a good job as it meant I got to enjoy these stunning Ticino views today!
