Couldn't agree more. Things like Goodreads, Letterboxd and Metacritic have contributed greatly to this mindset. People won't play/watch/read something without checking reviews first, which encourages people to consume media with a reviewers mindset before they've even consumed said media.

Now that is tough, but I think I'd go with Half Nelson overall. A wonderful, thoughtful performance from Gosling which often gets overlooked in recent times with his shift to bigger films. Would love to see him return to this type of film.

HAS to be Heat, even if you only tune in specifically for Pacino saying, "Cause she's got a... GREAT ASS!"

Got to be The Last of the Mohicans for that wonderful, rousing score alone
