28 October 1944 | A transport of 1,308 Jewish women prisoners left #Auschwitz II-Birkenau camp. They were transferred to KL Bergen-Belsen.

Most probably among them were sisters Anne and Margot Frank who died there of typhus in February 1945.

Marilyn Monroe, born 99 years ago today.

When Ella Fitzgerald couldn’t get booked at the Mocambo Club because she was Black, Monroe (at the height of her own fame) called the owner and told him if he booked Ella, she would take a front table every night.

And she did.

When the #Guggenheim Museum in #Bilbao was built in the 90’s, I remember it was a big deal. Felt very privileged to visit it today. A superb museum and great city.
