Peggy Martin herself donated one of her signature rose bushes to the Levee Exhibit Hall and Garden where it's flourishing beautifully!

A Peggy Martin rose reminds me of wonder amid the chaos
The woman who inspired the rose’s name lived in lower Plaquemines Parish, and her home was devastated by Hurricane Katrina.

I am quoted in this story about New Orleans' ranking as the most at-risk city in the U.S. due to sinking. Another reason we need those sediment diversions now!

New Orleans ranks as most at-risk city in US, with some neighborhoods sinking 2 inches a year
A survey of the lowest-lying regions in the U.S. indicates that one major city is most at-risk of flooding: New Orleans.

Beautiful sight. Three cars lined up at Audubon Golf Clubhouse in New Orleans. The drivers are dropping off food scraps for composting. (And one car off screen.) The best part is seeing little children learning good habits for a sustainable world. Audubon accepts scraps every Thurs from 4:00-5:30.

The moment I pointed out that the Katrina flooding was caused by the federal government’s design errors in the levees, critics promptly said I was crazy. In this show––Outwitting the Manipulator––I explain how I kept my cool and prevailed.
