I find it funny that, for whatever reason, humans are seen as intractably complex compared to ecosystems.

James C Scott, has died. One of the most interesting of thinkers. Defied disciplinary categories. Gave many on the left pause in their reflexive statism. Original, readable, someone who changed how I think about things.
