Serious question. Do you ever see a day where the forecast models are smart enough and fed enough information that they no longer get ‘confused’ by nature? Sometimes I feel like there are just too many unknown variables, but other times as AI power increases it seems possible in someone else’s life

Well Mother Nature, based on recent model trends it looks like you have forsaken us here in Williamsburg. Again.

lol Thank you. I’m sure I jinxed myself by actually buying groceries, testing generator, filling gas cans, buying snow boots and ice melt. It’s been a long time since I’ve felt so disappointed by a storm.

Can you post it here?

Williamsburg here. Thank you for your hard work keeping us informed. I’m not gonna lie, what a huge letdown. After so many consecutive days of model agreement and high snow totals, to barely get any at all now feels like a kick in the nuts.

Why can’t they tweak and fix the model after all these years?

The GFS always seems to want to do this whether we’re talking hurricanes or snowstorms. Thanks DT for updates!

That guy is lying and he knows it! Idiot
January 20, 2026 at 7:29 PM
Is it possible the snow ratios can be higher? Say 12 or 15-1?
January 20, 2026 at 4:38 PM
100%
