The term I remember was Mongoloid, and it was published in 1979. God forbid a book reflect the time it was written and/or depicting. My God today. 🙄🙄🙄
I love it! You might want to pre-read, as there is a section with outdated terminology regarding a character's daughter with a mental disability (can't remember if it is actually the R word or not). But the rest of the story and mystery is still such fun.

■ Why did Trump tear up the Obama/Iran Nuclear treaty in 2018?

■ Iran agreed to halt obtaining a nuclear bomb w/onsite verification.  Iran was abiding by the treaty.

■ This dangerous/expansive war could have been prevented. Tearing up this treaty turned out to be a HUGE mistake by Republicans.

“I’ve lived here for a long time, and I’ve never seen so many police cars.”

ICE’s occupation in Memphis, the largest Black-majority city in the US, has reshaped daily life, keeping kids out of school and parents from work, turning shopping into a mission that risks families being torn apart.
I'm a veteran criminal justice reporter. I've never seen anything like ICE-occupied Memphis.
