Ich glaube schon, dass das hier ein Teil des Problem ist. Einige Leute denken, dass es hier keinen Rechtsextremismus mehr geben kann, weil wir ja nach 1945 alles so extrem gut aufgarbeitet haben. Und außerdem wurden die ganzen echten Nazis ja damals verurteilt. Alle anderen waren ja nur Mitläufer.

I mean, they are also against sending weapons to Israel. I think pacifism is a weird position to have, when you or your allies are being attacked, but it can be a principle.

They've changed a lot, since Sahra Wagenknecht left and created the BSW. Die Linke is officially condeming the Russian attack on Ukraine. They oppose delivering arms to conflicts though. They advocate for peace negotiations and want Russia to leave Ukrainian soil.

Horseshoe theory is still very strong in Germany. Those evil lefties advocating for higher maximum income tax and nationalized housing are clearly just as bad as the guys who want to deport 20 million people. (Yes AfD people said that recently.)

As a german who's used to americans not thinking about the world outside the US, I find it really interesting that you keep mentioning Berlin as the place for parties and drugs. :D

Ja genau. Aber die machen das ja auch, weil es funktioniert. Und weil Leute die Thorsten Frei absolut nichts entgegenzusetzen haben.
