25 years ago I was at boarding school. They interrupted 2nd period to tell us there was a terrorist attack in NYC and they would give us more updates at lunch. That was it. I never watched anything on TV b/c we weren’t allowed. Just went to classes like it was a normal Tuesday. Weird day.

Question for my neurosurgeon: what goes in the soon to be empty space where the tumor was? Can Spanish fit? I took 5 years of Spanish, some of it has got to still be there.

Did you know surgeons can deflate your brain when removing a tumor? That’s a fun thing I get to think about now.

Told that I will need to have brain surgery that will leave me permanently deaf in the right ear and about 6 weeks of recovery but I'm more worried about keeping my daily streak in my solitaire game. I'm at 240 days! I don't want to lose that!!

Got my brain scans all done and on a CD. Now I just need a computer with a CD drive, the necessary software to read the images, and years of medical training to understand what the images say.
Or I can wait until my doctor’s appointment next Thursday.

I used genAI once back in 2024. Constant Contact was testing out help with writing emails. Enter some words and it’d come up with a paragraph.
I entered: “women’s fellowship; coffee meet up; all invited; once a month.”
What I got back: “Hey ladies, it’s that time of month again…”
Never again.
