I get frustrated with people doing this because GRRM was never saying "Middle-Earth needs to show a detailed intricate economy" . Rather his question was "what does it mean to say someone ruled wisely"
So one of the great fantasy literature ironies is that Martin rags on Tolkien about tax policy and military structure but his is just as flimsy if not worse

Ok so Santa Barbara is tiny and it's so Richie Rich white they made a whole soap named for the place everyone that lives there is exactly who you're picturing and they're out in force against ICE. We're gonna win this shit.
