Why is being contrite looked down on so badly? I'm wrong a LOT and say so. I apologize and try to learn from mistakes. I'm not the same person I was at 20, 25, 30, 35 or even a month ago. I have regrets but I don't shame myself for trying to grow. What's wrong with that?
