I’m telling you now - these obligations won’t be met and he’ll be back at Villa next summer. He’s been a particularly bad signing for us!

If it’s very expensive I’m not sure this is money well spent. We need to address the right hand side of the team and we have no natural right winger beyond Alysson who I really like but is young, inexperienced and injury prone. This will make our squad lopsided.

Happy if this doesn’t work out for us - we need the money on the right wing. Going into the window there seemed to be consensus that this was the priority but we’ve been dealing with replacements all summer and now with only 5 days left there is not even a hint of any right sided players coming in 😤

We seem to be able to get rid of everyone except Bailey - seems like the last piece of the outgoings jigsaw that needs sorting now. Never seen such turnover at any club in one transfer window. Madness 🤪

But…. 45 days. Are we just going to take a hit on the Rogers profit? So we’ll pay more for Jackson than we’ll get for Watkins and we’re going to lose a huge chunk of the profit from Rogers. Here was me hoping we’d be getting out of UEFA’s special measures this season🙄

Apparently he trained yesterday, had clear the air talks and apologised to the squad. If he doesn’t go he’s going to need to apologise to the fans as well and put on a big shift to justify his new contract.

Away fans were immense today - didn’t stop supporting, out sang the home fans most of the match and showed the players a lot of love at the final whistle.
