Weirdly of the 6 mens home games I’ve been to in the last year or so we’ve somehow won 4 (and one was the game that got Frank fired so counts as a win). Their losses are also my fault

The international break curse is too much to break

How it feels having come down to this one

Rumours I’ve seen are Barca

Think it tends to be a bit calmer on there than most other routes but you’ll likely need to queue to get into the station depending on your timings

Stratford has quite a few big hotels near the station now and is 10-15mins from Northumberland Park/Tottenham Hale on direct train.

Fruit Lagers like Jubel sit at 4% abv which is the sweet spot for a decent amount of drinkers - they command enough of a premium to pay the extra duty.
September 1, 2026 at 11:14 PM
What also helps fruit beers now is that in the UK offtrade there are literally no mainstream Lagers between 3.5 and 4.4%abv (unthinkable 5 years ago) - due to new duty pricing bands.

One thing they really got right was that it wasn’t coloured through juice or colouring and so looked like a beer. In a pub it’s easy to fit in with a crowd as not looking like anything different from other Lagers
September 1, 2026 at 11:12 PM
The original Jubel positioning used flavoured ciders (which took over from alcopops in the 2000-10s) as a reference quite a lot - “inbetween a beer and a fruit cider” particularly not being as sweet/sugary as a cider.

I do also suspect he'd be due an extra bonus/lump if we extended his contract for the additional year. Wouldn't be surprised if he's not happy to be missing out on that whilst we use the existence of that extra year to keep the fee high.

Porro and VDV on the bench according to RDZ

Liked the point about wanting to keep an advantage by not revealing full team. I think (!) Tom Barclay predicted this may happen in Hoffenheim games a few weeks ago on @thetottenhamway.bsky.social based on his experience reporting on Brighton under RDZ where he liked to keep teams etc under wraps

I had this thought for the first time the other day on the tube when I was paying for something online and it was showing some card details - not just being careful for someone to catch more than a glance isn’t enough now, people could be recording ambiently

Unfortunately Osimhens pay packet works out ~ £650k/week or so in the UK. Not sure that’s a bridgeable gap even if he takes a cut!

Pinhão is great and the train makes it all pretty easy (with great views)

Timing... enjoy - if you're en route! Some nice walks (if you enjoy a hill)
July 21, 2026 at 2:52 PM
Did I see you're in Porto? Worth getting the train out to the Duoro Valley (e.g. Pinhao) if you get a spare day and haven't already
July 21, 2026 at 12:16 PM
Apparently Barca want to sell because they have to pay City ~8m in bonus to extend his contract. Romero the other way perhaps...

My first ever game this - forgot the goals came in this order, clearly got me to understand supporting Spurs very early

IMO the more I drank NA as an alc consumer, the more I saw occasions to drink Mid - e.g. 1st drink after days off, last drink of the night, midweek beers etc. Consumers want more and more choice/control, and Mid gives them that - whether it gets big, we'll see! It definitely makes sense to explore.
