The tumblr era "your feelings are valid" movement while good in theory did untold damage for generations to come. So many people secretly added on a little "so any reaction I have to my feelings is righteous and just and also valid" and never continued to grow beyond that which is just...not good

That is such a weird comparison to me bc between sex and baby is when you prep for said baby. What happens when you have sudden unprepared baby? Baby is underfed, doesn’t have sustainable supplies, diapers, clothes, etc. You get deemed an unfit parent & baby is taken away.
I’m sure someone else has pointed this out but the “It’s like having sex and someone hands you a baby” comment erases the 9 months of physical and emotional labor that specifically women (+men and enbys) go through to create children. A labor that is entirely unpaid, not respected in our society,
