It might be because I haven't seen the show in a while but I've teared up so many times while rewatching Clannad lol. I finished the first season and so many parts had me feeling emotional.

The Clannad journey continues with episodes 15-18 and I always have a fun time revisiting this part. We ping pong around a lot since we get bits & pieces of different routes & events from the visual novel here but I think the anime makes it work in its new context.

The Kotomi arc of Clannad is waaaaaaay better & heavier in the visual novel than the anime but it's still funny, emotional, & touching. The lack of Tomoya/Nagisa bonding is a bit unfortunate but it's made up by the fact that most of the characters are friends now and bounce off of each other well.

Dragon Maid is still a lot of fun to read but I feel we haven't gotten any Kobayashi/Tohru relationship stuff in a WHILE. Like, Tohru's obviously pining for Kobayashi as usual but Kobayashi hasn't reciprocated in a meaningful way since like chapter 97 from what I recall (we're on chapter 192 btw).

I'm rewatching Clannad & the first four episodes kind of struggle with balancing out the intros for all the characters but they're good first impressions and Nagisa & Tomoya's relationship is a big strong point early on. The pacing thankfully gets a lot better when we focus on Fuko's story.
