I don't understand why people keep tweeting about publicly operated bike share. Private is working so well that I'm starting to think Lyft should run the buses. What do you think will get better under the MTA?

Very true, the 21 Hayes went right by me: he insisted they bring it back, it was then the worst performing line citywide for his entire term, finally replaced by the 7 once he was gone

Does prestige give us a kind of free lunch though? Eliminating prestige here would probably make education more expensive, not sure OK has the money to burn. These careers seem very careful to select for those who really like prestige so they're not suffering

Or retired to be too small. In North Beach it was illegal to combine neighboring storefronts, the legislation to fix brought out all the usual affordability and character concerns

Depends. In Germany, approaching trains are announced only by the vibrating hum of the tracks themselves. US cultural norms are different, I think we can get by with just the screaming wail of Caltrain's unmaintained brakes instead.
