Congrats to the @uofgchem.bsky.social Lunasonic project team, who have won £100,000 from Ofwat’s Water Discovery Challenge University to advance their research into how sound waves can remove harmful pollutants from drinking water.

Researchers from @uofgchem.bsky.social have found a new way to remove a common plastic pollutant called BPA from water using controlled waves of ultrasound.

In the future, it could help water treatment plants scrub BPA from water supplies.
