I have some thoughts™ on the newly released Cloudflare Basin and K2. I'm not vain enough to start a newsletter, so I'll try to write them in this thread. Obv, my own personal opinions, not representing my employer, etc.

I pass by the hotel they bought when walking my dog. It’s across the street from a middle school.
Why aren’t Berkeley NIMBYs up in arms about that instead of replacing a crumbling 7-11 with apartments?

Since we’re doing another round of “AI will destroy humanity” doom-hype, it’s a good time to announce a new paper myself and my postdoc advisor just had accepted by BioSocieties on just this. TL;DR: almost all the “AI can make bioweapons” literature comes ultimately from the Effective Altruists.

Then DHS officials told a skeptical Nevada, no no no, that’s just people we flagged. Here are the names of 185 people we KNOW aren’t citizens.
