We welcome the proposed changes to capital gains tax and negative gearing, especially the minimum tax on trusts, but this budget misses the present opportunity to supercharge investment in renewables and electrification to reduce our reliance on imported fuel. We hope the changes Jim Chalmers mentioned to bring cost of living relief for those who need it the most is brought forward in a timely manner.
