I used to think Blab failed because women didn't want to be on screen without makeup on, but now that Tik-Tok is full of "Get ready with me" videos, I realize how wrong I was! I guess it was the discovery feature that I loved so much that was its downfall.

I was always more of a Usenet person than The WELL. both were doomed to die, though, for different reasons. I still wish some social media service would give us full page posts and inline editing. I really miss that from the Usenet days.

all of these uses cases for Kimi 3 are rather benign so far. but it's inevitable that bad actors will use Kimi 3 to do bad things and then lulz OSS LLMs from China will be banned or regulated in the USA. sigh
