To be clear, I'm not defending prisons. Everyone involved in the prison-industrial complex deserves to be shot. I'm arguing that psychiatric hospitals are also glorified prisons. Patients can be confined in solitary, tortured with electro-shock therapy, and "encouraged" to work for the hospital.

Evidence shows you consistently spend more time in confinement if deemed not guilty by reason of insanity vs a guilty plea.
