You know for sure the ENTIRE studio staff fought back against a lone soldier who died on this "you can't pet the cat, actually" hill and somehow won. Good soul, you're a legend for inverting this expectation.
They are so fucked up for doing this in Star Wars Galactic Racer

lrt reminded me I need to post about some of what my friends and I have been doing in VS over the past few months.
Started a fresh save after our last when another friend new to the game wanted to jump in. Went for a small community setup this time and I decided to make myself the lighthouse keeper

reported on something that was really difficult for a lot of people for a lot of different reasons in a lot of different ways.
Back in May, Double Fine employees petitioned for a union. Two weeks later, that petition was withdrawn. What happened? https://kotaku.com/inside-the-failed-fight-to-unionize-one-of-gamings-most-idealized-studios-2000742755

EG fell for it too. :( The Capcom presentation contains a slide with "AI世代のゲームエンジンへ" - the article omits the "へ", for one, but the issue is that while 世代 means 'generation', it's in the 'console generation' sense, not like GenAI. Without へ, translation software gets it totally wrong.

The patreon page is still pretty low-key for now, but I just made my first actual gamedev-ish post there for anyone interested in that sort of thing
My writing isn't particularly great so I apologize if my prose is rambly

Hey. Psst. I launched my patreon...
I'll make a big post about it later, but I've finally opened my patreon and made my first post for now. I'm hoping to update it weekly with brain dumps and other things, but it's really just a tip jar

You should be asking why Rockstar gets to do this and doesn't run into any issues with payment processors, while the rest of anyone drawing or writing "explicit content" on any platform have so much trouble getting paid
GTA 6 has received a rating of PEGI 18, revealing mentions of "decapitation," the ability for players to snort cocaine at any time, "scenes of sexual fetishes," and much more.

Sorry not sorry to anyone who thought I would make a werewolf a cute wolf girl, but I think werewolves are the best when they are built like actual monsters.

tremors and jaws are both great movies, and Jaws probably succeeds more as a work of horror. but Tremors is actually perfect. an almost unique example of a film executed flawlessly in line with its vision.
I've said it before and I'll post it again: we should embrace and deify TREMORS as much as we do JAWS.

lrp: Abiotic Factor is the best in it's genre and solo or with friends its a fucking masterpiece. The level design, the rate of progression with gear and unlocks, the world building and tone.
It's almost in a class of its own.
