Why this always comes up around the creatives? This was never an issue but everytime I see others attacking saying that using references is like cheating or wtv
Yes you can and SHOULD use references when needed
There's a difference between using a reference to get something right and just copying

Use reference. I’m serious. I get it that somehow you or someone convinced you that using reference is “cheating.” It’s not. You are just hindering yourself.

Finally I built 2 lances to try out Alpha Strike next weekend!!
It's gonna be a 150pts slugfest between a Marauder, Raven, Warhammer, Catapult against a Timber Wolf, Locust, Blackjack and Archer!
I'll be using D12s for the multiple hit rolls instead of 2D6s to be easier to check the results

I fell into the Battletech rabbit hole this past weekend...
It's deep... Veeeeery deep 👀
But so fascinating! And funny
What do you mean there's cannonically catgirls, giant monster mechs and one of the strongest factions is a telecom company!?

Congrats on your first mini!!
This is the kind of miniature design I was talking about a few weeks ago
Big shapes, not too much detail but enought to give some character and still be visible at a distance, and fun to paint and be creative with the paintjob
I bet they ate FDM printable too

today, after more than 1 year of youtube and over 70 videos, I'm proud to present my very first miniature!
She's called the High Priest of Sin and was sculpted by the talented benbam_works and designed by me.
Incredibly proud to be part of this community.

how hard is it to make a living with selling miniature STLs online as a solo creator?
All alone the output is really limited and so I'm really curious how one does compete with full teams with dedicated designers and sculptors and marketing and the amount of miniatures for the same price

And here is the final mini!
She's the Stigmatic Nun with the alternative head/weapon pose to the one shown in all the promo and i LOVE HER
Her mask & chest armour is just 🤌 and she was unsurprisingly a delight to paint up in my own less grimdark style :')
Hope you love her!

I'm gonna lose access to my resin printer eventualy, so maybe it's time I start thinking in working on my idea of designing miniatures especifically to be printed on FDM
I just wish I didn't have to pay a subscription to MMF just to be able to sell there
